SSL is issued automatically for every domain you add to a hosting plan, so https:// works without any configuration.
- New domains can take up to an hour for the certificate to be issued after DNS points to our nameservers.
- Check the status in cPanel under the SSL/TLS Status section. If a domain is listed as pending, use Run AutoSSL.
- Force visitors onto HTTPS by adding this to the top of
public_html/.htaccess:RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]
After switching, load a page and check for the padlock. If assets still load over http://, update the URLs in your site's settings — mixed content will keep the padlock broken.
