Work through the usual suspects in this order:
- Measure first - run PageSpeed Insights or GTmetrix and note whether the delay is the server or the front end.
- Caching - pages that are not cached are generated on every visit. Enable LiteSpeed Cache.
- Images - oversized images are the single most common cause. Compress and convert them.
- PHP version - an old version can be several times slower; set 8.2.
- Plugins and scripts - disable unused plugins, and remove tracking scripts you no longer need.
- Traffic spikes - if load is genuinely high, a plan upgrade or Cloudflare in front will help; ask us for a recommendation.
