How do I move an existing WordPress site to Fonhost? Print

Three steps: copy the files, copy the database, update the URLs.

1. Files - zip public_html on the old host, upload the zip into public_html here, then extract.
2. Database - export it from the old host's phpMyAdmin, create a database and user here, then import it.
3. Configure - edit wp-config.php with the new database name, user and password. Update WP_HOME and WP_SITEURL if the domain changed.

Alternative: install the All-in-One WP Migration or Duplicator plugin on both sites and import the archive. Send us a ticket if you would rather we moved it - migrations are free.
