How do I create a subdomain? Print

cPanel → Domains → Create A New Domain, or Subdomains on older cPanel versions.

1. Enter the prefix, for example shop for shop.yourdomain.com.
2. Choose the document root, for example public_html/shop, or let cPanel create it.
3. Upload your files to that folder. SSL is issued automatically shortly after.

If the subdomain does not resolve, its DNS record has to be created: with our nameservers that happens automatically, with an external DNS provider you must add the A record yourself.
